'Multiple eye-witnesses' have alleged that Drake started the nightclub fight with fellow rapper Chris Brown in New York on Thursday morning by throwing a bottle directly at him.
Drake's representative has said in an official statement to Entertainmentwise that he, “did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind” during the scuffle at W.I.P club but according to Radaronline several witnesses have told police it was the ’Take Care’ star who sparked the violence.
"Independent eyewitnesses have told detectives from the New York Police Department that Drake absolutely started the fight by throwing a bottle at Chris," a source close to law enforcement told RadarOnline.com.
The fight is reported to have then escalated into an all-out brawl resulting in several bystanders injured. The source claimed no violence would have occurred without Drake’s attack on the ’Run It’ star: "It was intended to hit Chris and no other person. None of this would have happened if Drake hadn't thrown the bottle. It was extremely loud in the club and there was a lot of yelling.”
“Once Drake threw the bottle at Chris all hell broke loose. There is no evidence that Chris instigated the brawl, he only acted in self defense and he got out of the club as quickly as possible."
Both parties are said to be speaking to the police about the incident with rumours the fight broke out after Drake taunted the ‘Yeah x3’ star over his relationship with Rihanna.
