Liam Hemsworth's former girlfriend of six years, Laura Griffith, has admitted that she was "surprised" and "hurt" by his engagement to Miley Cyrus.
'The Hunger Games' actor reportedly dated Griffith for six years, and were high school sweethearts, but when hearing of his announcement about getting engaged to Miley, she was "hurt" because of their history but admits that she is "happy for him".
Talking to CeleBuzz, Griffith reportedly said: "I'm not going to lie, I'm a little surprised. [Liam's] still someone I care about.
"Of course it hurts seeing someone I spent so many years with moving on, especially when I learned from the media," she continued.
"But at the same time if they are in love and are happy, why not? I'm very happy for him."
Last week, we reported that Miley and Liam had got engaged, with the 19-year-old bride-to-be releasing a statement that said: "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam."
While we're all happy for Miley and Liam, it's not all been plain-sailing as the teen has had to fight off cheating speculation after pictures emerged of her enjoying a swim with a friend Cheyne Thomas in Miami.
