Jersey Shore star Deena Cortese caused controversy at the weekend after being arrested for disorderly conduct while filming the sixth season of the popular MTV reality show. But now reports have suggested that Deena may end up profiting from the disaster, after causing more drama than ever before at the shore.
E! Online are reporting that Deena might be in line for a raise in her salary after stealing the show from a pregnant Snooki on the latest season of the show. Producers are said to be fazing Snooki out of the newest season – giving the mum-to-be her own swish pad separate from the shared Jersey Shore house.
Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi and Jennifer ‘JWoww’ Farley have already filmed a spin off from the show, ‘Snooki and JWoww’, which has been dubbed as a more grown-up version of the Jersey show, focusing more on Snooki’s pregnancy.
However, contrary to reports that the newest season will be it’s last, E! Online have speculated that a seventh season could be in the pipeline for the hit show.
E! Online spoke to reality TV casting specialist Sarah Monson, who explained, “If Cortese comes back [for a seventh season], she'll likely get a bit more than her reported $40,000-per-episode salary.
“Cortese may soon launch into an even higher income bracket—if not Snooki's reported $150,000-per-episode pay, but perhaps on the same level as, maybe, Vinnie, who supposedly brings in $90,000, or Sammy or Ronnie, who each command $80,000 per episode.”
