While Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth may be celebrating their recent engagement, it seems love is not in the air for everyone, as her older brother Trace has called off his engagement to former Disney actress Brenda Song.
The 23-year-old released a statement earlier this week claiming that the couple actually split up a few months ago and have decided to concentrate on their respective careers.
Trace told Us Weekly yesterday (June 11): "Brenda and I have decided to go our separate ways. We split up a couple of months ago, We will continue to focus on our careers."
The lead singer of Metro Station added: "I wish Brenda the best and much success in the future. I hope everyone can respect our privacy about this situation."
Brenda and Trace began dating at the beginning of last year, but an insider have suggested that they were “too young” for such a commitment.
An insider said: “They were in love and they care a lot about each other, but they just weren't ready for what they got themselves into. . . it just comes down to them being too young and not ready."
Their break-up obviously hasn't put Miley and Liam off, who are several years younger...
