While the search for a new judge continues behind the scenes on The X Factor, the show must go on and auditions are in full swing, this time with US songstress Anastacia temporarily taking the seat formerly occupied by Kelly Rowland.
The 'Left Outside Alone' singer will take over judging duties alongside returning panellists Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh when the show heads to Glasgow today.
Other guest judges who have appeared this series have included Geri Halliwell, Rita Ora, Nicole Scherzinger, Leona Lewis and Melanie B – who was mistakenly introduced as Melanie C at the Manchester auditions last week.
Louis Walsh has even been working extra hours this week after he was drafted in to X Factor USA as a stand-in judge at the last minute following the announcement that media mogul Simon Cowell is suffering from bronchitis. He joined judges LA Reid, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears on the panel in Kansas City after being flown in by Simon on his private jet.
Gary has also been very busy completing his duties for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee last week, although he still found time to take a short family holiday to Spain before landing in Glasgow this morning, returning to his X Factor judging duties.
Anastacia, who has previously guest judged on the Italian version of The X Factor in 2009, recently tweeted her excitement at joining the Glasgow auditions, “Head 2 Berlin for Skoda show then Glasgow 4 XFactor auditions. Funfunfun.”
What do you think of Anastacia guest judging the X Factor? Would you like to see her on the panel permanently?
