Footballer Rio Ferdinand and The Saturdays band member Una Healy can now add reality TV judge to their CV's following the news that they will be judging a new talent show, Let's Go For Gold.

The show, will reportedly take on the format of Simon Cowell's Saturday night juggernaut Britain's Got Talent, but will focus on sports. Joining Rio and Una on the judging panel will be cricketer Andrew Flintoff and former EastEnders' actress Martine McCutcheon.

According to the Telegraph, the show, which is scheduled to air before the Olympics, will see people talented in sports audition in front of the judges with a chance to win £100,000.

Speaking about his role, which will be fronted by Saturday night favourite Vernon Kay, Rio, who currently has a lot of spare time after failing to make the England team for Euro 2012, said:

"I can’t wait to get started. It's set to be a fantastic show, capturing the nation’s sporting mood perfectly. I am very excited to be working with Freddie, Martine and Una in the search for new sporting stars. May the best team win!”

Una, who has only just returned to The Saturdays after having her daughter Aoife Belle, added: "I’m looking forward to seeing all the sporting talent that Britain has to offer. It’ll be fun to see how these teams will put an entertainment spin on sports such as Rugby and Golf. I can’t wait to get started!”

Excited to get started, Andrew said of his new role: "It’ll be a new challenge for me. I’m sure the judging panel will all be looking for something different. I can’t wait to see what the teams have to show us.”
