It could've been the comeback of the year, Dannii Minogue was apparently all set to return to this year's X Factor but it's been revealed she pulled out to focus on her family.
The former judge was keen to return to the show this year, following Kelly Rowland's departure but turned down the tempting offer as she is close to getting back together with former love Kris Smith. The pretty pair split earlier this year, with the couple posting a joint twitter statement confirming the parting back in April.
Whilst many thought Dannii's sudden change of heart over X Factor was down to the humilating relevations of her affair with Simon Cowell, sources close to the star say she simply chose family over fame.
Friends close to Dannii say she is still in love with model Kris, the father of her son Ethan. A friend told The Daily Star Sunday:
"Dannii and Kris are working on the relationship in the hope of getting back together. "
"They have both acknowledged they still love each other but know they have a lot of work to do before being one happy family again."
"Dannii is committed to putting her family first. Since becoming a mum her priorities have changed."
