Metallica may be rocking this weekend's Download festival, but a softer side to the heavy metal band will be on display miles away in London this weekend, as the much talked about documentary 'Mission To Lars' gets its premiere tonight (June 6) in London.

The documentary follows a young man, Tom Spicer, with Fragile X, a form of autism, as he finds his way from a care home in sleepy Wales to find and speak to his hero, Metallica's Ulrich. The courageous young man is helped by his brother and sister Kate and Will, as they try to make their sibling's dreams come true and meet a rock legend.

The premiere is being held at the Hackney Picture House at 9pm and is followed by a Q&A with the directors and 5Live's Richard Bacon, with the film touring for a limited period after this.

The film's touching story has moved many a hard man to tears, with Motorhead's Lemmy telling how he cried upon seeing the film. We can't think of many things that could ever move the 'Aceof Spades' singer to tears, but apparently 'Mission To Lars' is one of them.
