'Starships' rapper Nicki Minaj has confirmed the title of her next single as 'Pound The Alarm' and is set to be the next track to be taken from her successful second studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
The track was produced by RedOne and will be released on the July 2 - however, in true Nicki-style she's going to keep fans waiting for the video, as it isn't set to be shot for another two weeks, reports Capital FM.
It'll definitely be worth the wait, no doubt!
And in the meantime, you can take a listen to the brand new track 'Pound The Alarm' below:
Meanwhile, Nicki also spoke out earlier this week about why exactly she pulled out of the huge hip-hop fest that is 'Summer Jam', after morning radio presenter Peter Rosenburg blasted the singer's recent hit 'Starships' ahead of her scheduled stint on stage...
"After all this has been said and done, I wasn't gonna do 'Starships' and I think people know that. I'm way smarter than that."
She then added: "I know what people wanted to see. I think it was just someone trying to be sarcastic, but like every other artist said, it was horrible timing, it was in bad taste. Everybody makes mistakes, but you've got to own your mistake. When you don't own it, then you feel like you can do this in the future and get away with it."
Eurgh...can't we all get along like one big 'hip-hop' family?
