Poor Adele, she's revealed a major cringe moment when earlier this year she mistook the legendary Elton John for a prank caller!
The singer received a call from Sir Elton just before she swept the Grammy Awards at the beginning of the yeat, winning six gongs. She says:
“I had no idea who it was and he just started chatting away. I passed the phone over to a friend and I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s Elton’. "
“It still cracks me up. It made me think, ‘My God, it’s another level now’.”
Aw, we reckon we'd have the same reaction! It sounds like the award-laden singer still hasn't got to grips with her world-wide fame, she has also revealed that she once walked through London’s Trafalgar Square unrecognised, in her pjs!
She reckons she probably kept under the radar because she was dressed in colourful floral bottoms and a green coat, and not her usual black:
“A couple looked but they were like, ‘No, she’s in colour and what would she be doing in Trafalgar Square on a Saturday in pyjamas?’"
