Beyonce has joined a host of A-list talent by being cast in a new animated movie entitled Epic.
The 'If I Were A Boy' singer will lend her voice alongside the likes of The Hunger Games’ Josh Hutcherson, Mama Mia’s Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, and funny men Jason Sudeikis, Aziz Ansari, and Johnny Knoxville.
She won’t be the only musician in the film either – rapper Pitbull and Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler have also been cast.
The film, directed by Ice Age’s Chris Wedge, will tell the story of a teenage girl who is transported into another universe which she has to save in order to then save planet earth. Beyonce will apparently play Queen Tara, who we presume is a queen of some description.
It’s not the only film she has in production – she’s attached to star in a third remake of A Star IS Born, taking the lead role previously filled by Janet Gaynor, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand.Recently it’s been rumoured that Tom Cruise may take the role of the aging singer who falls in love with Beyonce’s up-and-comer.
Earlier this week Beyonce played for the First Lady of the USA, Michelle Obama.
