Kristen Stewart has finally apologised to the millions of ‘Twilight’ fans around the world for stealing Edward Cullen played by Robert Pattinson from them.
The actress, who plays Bella Swan in the vampire saga not only gets to spend eternity with the stud on screen but in real life the couple are loved up too.
“Edward is such an icon. All I can say is ‘sorry’ to anyone who thinks I’m not Bella Swan. Really. I’m sorry for stealing Edward,” she told the Irish Times.
The 22 year-old admitted that some ‘Twi-hards’ hadn’t made her life easy especially those who don’t think she should have played Bella, but insisted she understood why they felt so strongly about the characters.
“Girls, especially at a certain age, can be bullies. But I understand why. I understand their covetousness,” she explained, “I completely relate to that. But I love the book just as much as they do and share their protective urges toward it.”
The final instalment of the saga ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2’ hits cinemas this autumn but it won’t be the last time we see the real life couple on screen.
Rob recently revealed that not only were they keen to star in another movie together they are actually writing a script themselves. We wonder what it will be about?
We’re thinking angst ridden, moody, romance!
