David Beckham proved he is a mummy’s boy at heart as the superstar spent some quality time with his lovely mum Sandra yesterday and indulging in his favourite dish pie and mash.
He might call Hollywood home now but the LA Galaxy star is still British born and couldn’t resist heading to the East End of London for the proper English classic. DB was still sporting his controversial moustache for the visit and looked pretty excited as he tucked into the grub.
He posted a picture on Facebook with the message: “As I'm sure you would have expected, I had a pie and mash lunch today with my mum. There is nothing better.”
The star had jetted into the country earlier and had fleetingly bumped into another A Lister Charlize Theron at Heathrow airport. After a friendly chat the 37 year-old headed straight to his mum to enjoy the home comforts he misses when he is in LA.
After satisfying himself of pie and mash the star surrounded himself with a bevy of ladies as he paid a surprise visit to his grandma Peggy West and her friends.
“Great to be back in London. Paid a surprise visit to see my gran.” he added along with a snap, though it isn’t clear which one is his grandma.
We wonder if David is in the UK ready for the Jubilee celebrations? Surely the country couldn’t celebrate properly without golden balls?
After all he has single-handily put British pants on the map thanks to his impressive H&M range, thats enough for a knighthood!
