Sir Elton John may have been warned by doctors to cancel his Las Vegas shows, but the singer is insisting that he is well enough to perform for the Queen at her Diamond Jubilee celebrations next week.
The respiratory infection which caused Sir Elton to be hospitalised earlier this week is not going to stop him performing for the Queen at her Jubilee celebrations.
Is that wise, Sir Elton?
Well, according to his rep, the Rocket Man has made a remarkable recovery following his illness and his planned Jubilee performance is "still happening".
"It was nothing more than a chest infection. You rest and it's better. Everything that's planned is still happening."
There's no doubt in our minds that Queen Elizabeth II is wildly excited to hear that!
Sir Elton will be joining the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Stevie Wonder, Cliff Richard, Sir Tom Jones, JLS, Jessie J and Madness in the royal celebrations, which will take place at Buckingham Palace on Monday 4 June.
We just bet organiser Gary Barlow is over the moon that he doesn't have to hunt down a replacement act for the Candle In The Wind singer.
