Rihanna has reportedly turned her back on Chris Brown for good after the rapper broke her heart. The ‘You Da One’ star was embroiled in a fierce love triangle with her former flame and his girlfriend Karrueche Tran but broke things off when it was clear he wanted both of them.
The 24 year-old previously dated the ‘Run It’ rapper in 2009 until he infamously assaulted and allegedly started the relationship back up last year. “Rihanna was willing to give him a second chance, but not anymore,” an insider told HollywoodLife.
“She is sick of the broken promises. She has moved on once and for all. She realized that she can’t even be casual friends with him, at least not for a very long time!”
“Chris is the one who initially reached out to Rihanna begging for her forgiveness. He was incredibly sweet to Rihanna at the beginning, telling her how much he missed her, how Karrueche could not even compare to her, how he wanted to make things work.”
The stars spent her birthday together in February and even collaborated on two tracks that shocked fans for their lewd sexual content. But despite his promises it was clear that the Grammy winner wasn’t going to ditch his Vietnamese model girlfriend.
“Rihanna would have gone back to Chris, but once she realized that he still had so many anger issues and that he was never planning on leaving Karrueche, she pulled the plug on the relationship,” the insider explained, “Chris basically wanted to have his cake and eat it too.”
The relationship reportedly ended recently, with Chris Brown taking his revenge with a song implying that his Rihanna slept around.
“When Rihanna finally told him that she was going to start seeing other people if he wouldn’t commit, Chris freaked out and started acting out,” the source explained.
“His ego just took over and he basically told Rihanna that she was a sl*t. And then he released that song about Rihanna sleeping around.”
