Geri Halliwell didn't get the best reception when she turned up for the first round of this year's X Factor auditions in Liverpool as a guest judge alongside Gery Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh, facing boos from the assembled crowds before she even had a chance to open her mouth.
However the ex-Spice Girl has been in the industry for over sixteen years, and the seasoned pop star has insisted that she wont be taking any criticism to heart and she's prepared to be heckled during her stint on The X Factor.
Geri told the Daily Star: “I don't mind if people want to take the p**s out of me. You get to a certain age where you think; 'Whatever.' A really big fat boo is good for you, you cannot take it personally.
“Of course they're going to boo as they're protecting their friends. I want to do my best and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. It's a really, really good show.”
There are rumours that if Geri does well as a guest judge, she may be brought on as a permanent member of the panel, however the 39-year-old has already faced a substantial backlash following her appointment.
The 'Mi Chico Latino' singer has already appeared on The X Factor as a guest judge in 2010 when she filled in for Dannii Minogue.
