Born This Way star Lady GaGa has managed to anger her Thai fans after posting a rather insulting comment on Twitter.
Gaga has already caused controversy with her world tour in Indonesia were they’ve threatened to ban her performance in fears that her dance routines and outrageous outfits may be too much for the Indonesian crowd.
Yesterday, Wednesday 23rd, she took to the social network to share her excitement of being in Thailand and wrote:
"I just landed in Bangkok baby! Ready for 50,000 screaming Thai monsters. I wanna get lost in a lady market and buy fake Rolex (watches)."
Uh Oh Gaga! We’re guessing she was referering to the black market in Thailand and to the tourist perception of lady-boys, but hundreds of followers took offence with one tweeting: "We are more civilised than you think"
Now this isn’t the first time the star has spoken about fake merchandise in the region. She said the same thing about Hong Kong not long ago. "I love this city. You can work out & buy a fake Birkin (bag) on the same street."
Looks like Gaga may be putting all her tour dates at risk if she continues to offend her fans but then again, can she be scrutinised for tweeting about what she sees?
