Glee creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that the new season of the hit show will be filmed in New York.
Gleeks in the US have already seen the season three finale of the hit show which saw Rachel Berry board a train to New York to follow her dream of becomming a Broadway musical star. Many fans feared that Rachel's move to New York would mark the exit of her character from the show. Luckily Ryan confirmed in a recent interview that the regular members of the cast would all be returning.
Explaining how the show will follow the former students of McKinley High as they head off on their separate journeys, in particular Rachel and Kurt's, Ryan told TVLine:
"We're coming to New York. That was one of the fun reasons to do [the storyline]."
The creator went on to add: "Nothing is in stone, because we're still budgeting, but I would love to come once every five weeks and shoot a lot of scenes there. We are 100 percent doing that - we're not going to do it all on a soundstage."
Tweeting about the season finale, Lea Michele, who plays Rachel wrote yesterday:
"Such an amazing season finale of #Glee tonight. Hope everyone liked it. Can't wait to start shooting season 4 in July! #gleeforever"
