Having felt the wrath of Lord Alan Sugar on The Apprentice last night when his team lost the luxury discount deal task, Stephen Brady believes that the business mogul is scarier than media mogul Simon Cowell.
Tasked with impressing Lord Sugar with his project management skills, viewers saw Stephen take the lead with Team Sterling. However, the candidate led them to fail after they lost out to Team Phoenix who managed to raise approximately £14,000 for a premium daily deals website against their £6,000. As a result Lord Sugar told Stephen:
“There’s no smoke without fire. Stephen – you asked me for the chance to be the Project Manager, I gave you the chance. You told me you were going to win, you didn’t win, you lost. I think on that basis I’ve made a decision, and that is that - You’re also Fired.”
Speaking about his elimination, the national sales manager told The Sun: “That finger would probably scare the life out of anybody — whether it is Simon Cowell or Stephen Brady, to be honest.”
The candidate who was fired from the show after Lord Sugar axed Gabrielle Omar from the competition, went on to reveal that he lost because he ran of out energy.
“At the end, I thought, ‘I don’t have much more left in the tank’ as I had invested so much energy at the start”, he explained before revealing that Gabrielle probably felt the same way.
“She was another one who invested a lot in earlier tasks and I think she became a bit jaded.”
