The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been married just a year after a sensational wedding that was watched by millions around the world, but now their honeymoon period is well and truly over after a new book claims that Prince William is worried that he will cheat on his wife, Kate.
According to royal insider Penny Junor, throughout his 10-year-old relationship to Kate, after meeting at St. Andrews university in Scotland, he “had very real worries about whether it was possible to love just one woman.”
The new tell-all book also reveals the real reasons why the couple split up in 2007, suggesting that Kate wanted to get engaged five years ago.
“Kate had always wanted rather more commitment than he was prepared to give,” she explains. Junor also reveals that Prince William gave his staff permission to speak to her for the new book, something she thought was quite a strange move.
“It’s very unusual for the prince’s household to speak to a biographer like me,” she told In Touch. “But Prince William gave them his permission.”
And while Kate is now one of the most popular royals, the future Queen of England has actually come out looking rather scruffy, as she had “unwashed hair, no makeup and grubby jeans” when she first met William, and his friends weren't impressed either as they found her dull, cold and serious.
Far from the Kate that we've fallen in love with. Now Prince William is regretting his decision of giving the new book his endorsement, and has been apologising non-stop to Kate, according to Hollywoodlife.
“He is being very supportive, and trying to make Kate laugh about things,” says an insider. “The whole point of the book was that she was a normal girl, but she’s turned into a great beauty with a husband who loves her.”
