Brad Pitt has denied that he is set to follow fiance Angelina Jolie behind the camera and insists that being a father is his number one role.
The 36 year-old actress’ directorial debut ‘In The Land Of Blood And Honey’ received critical acclaim when it was released last December. But despite his wife-to-be’s success the 48 year-old star is not tempted by directing at all.
Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, where yesterday he premiered his latest movie ‘Killing Them Softly’ he told Reuters: "It's enough for me. I want to also be a dad, first and foremost. After two days it gets itchy, I miss them. I just know how I'd be, I see how much time it takes to mount the thing and put it together. It wouldn't be a good match."
Brad admitted that it would be the next logical step for him but there was “no chance” he would ditch the day job.
"It makes sense on some level, but I really enjoy being a creative producer and I enjoy my day job," he added.
Returning to Cannes, Brad admitted that he enjoyed debuting his films at the festival as it was more about quality than box office success of a movie.
"Here it's artistic merit first and less about an opening weekend," he explained.
"They have such respect for the auteur, and you know it's going to get a really respectful viewing."
