Whitney Houston’s on off boyfriend Ray J was physically removed from the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas last night after an argument with the late singer’s family.
Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina and the star's sister-in-law Pat Huston became embroiled in an altercation with the rapper moments before the planned tribute to Whitney who died in February at the age of 48 began.
According to TMZ Pat was filled with rage when she realised the 31 year-old, who she thought was a bad influence on the star was seated next to the family members and demanded that he was removed by hotel security.
“Pat's security summoned hotel security, along with several uniformed officers to physically remove Ray J.” An eye-witnessed revealed.
When Ray J refused a full blown row erupted and was only calmed down because security warned Pat if they physically tried to remove the rapper it would be caught on TV.
“Pat then grudgingly recanted and Ray J kept his seat.” The source added.
Though Ray J was able to enjoy the tribute from his original seat he told friends the argument had ruined it for him.
"Pat ruined what was a great opportunity to honor the woman who I loved." He said.
Whitney’s only daughter Bobbi Kristina took to the stage with her aunt to collect the ‘Artist of the Millennium’ award.
The 19 year-old broke down in tears as she accepted the honour.
According to CTV News she said: "I really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all.
"Not just from when it was good but when it was bad, too. Thank you for showing that much love, because she deserved it ... I'm just blessed to have been in such an incredible woman's life. There will never be another one, ever."
