Will Prince Harry Return To The Front Line In Afghanistan?

He may be a fully-trained DJ now, but Prince Harry is, first and foremost, a soldier. And he is rumoured to be returning to the front line in Afghanistan before the end of the year...

General Sir David Richards, Chief of the Defence Staff explained that Harry is very likely to be returning to his duties of flying Apache helicopters in Helmand.

"Prince Harry’s success in flying training means it is likely he will serve operationally again."

It'll be the first time Harry has returned to the war zone since 2008, when he was forced to return to the UK after news of his deployment broke in the media.

There are fears that he could become a trophy target for the Taliban but, as Harry has said time and time again, he feels it is his duty to serve his Queen (or Grandmother!) and country.

We know he's got the skills for the job; he qualified as an Apache helicopter pilot in February this year after 18 months of training in the UK and US, coming at the top of his class!

He was also presented with the best co-pilot gunner award at the end of his course.

Prince Harry's a hero!
