Dannii Minogue is set to turn down the offer of returning to the X Factor according to reports.
The star who has had a tough couple of months following the breakdown of her relationship with Kris Smith and the revelations of her alleged affair with X Factor boss Simon Cowell, will snub the £750,000 that has been reportedly offered to her.
Filming of the show with the judges is set to begin next week and according to reports it is looking very unlikely that Danni, who mentored Matt Cardle to victory in 2010, will join confirmed X Factor judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh on the panel. A source revealed to The Sun:
“Bosses are worried. Auditions start next week.”
Hinting that she wouldn't be making a return to the show in a recent interview with Australia's Marie Claire, Dannii said she has to put her son Ethan first. She said: "He has his little routine now. He has swimming lessons; he has things that are important to him.
"I don't want to unsettle him to follow me around the globe."
Whilst Dannii's return to the show is looking unlikely, X Factorpresenter Dermot O'Leary today announced that he would be returning to the show.
Announcing his comeback, Dermot said: "I'm delighted to be returning to The X Factor as I just love the gig. I hope The X Factor 2012 continues to bring a sense of fun to Saturday and Sunday nights and gives the nation a show that they can laugh, cry and sometimes scream at."
Simon added: "Dermot has done a brilliant job for the past five years - he is Mr X Factor."
