It's official Aaron Sorkin is the script writer for the new Steve Jobs biopic.
The addition of Sorkin, who wrote the fabulous script of ‘The Social Network’ was announced on Tuesday (May 15), suggesting that his talent will be able to fully captivate the 'extraordinary life' of the late Apple boss, who died earlier this year.
Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, said in a statement: “There is no writer working in Hollywood today who is more capable of capturing such an extraordinary life for the screen than Aaron Sorkin; in his hands, we're confident that the film will be everything that Jobs himself was: captivating, entertaining, and polarizing."
The film will be based on Walter Isaacson's authorised biography, and West Wing writer and Oskar winner Mr Sorkin is set be writing the part for Two and a Half Men actor Ashton Kutcher who will be playing the role of Jobs and who was spotted earlier this week sporting a Jobs-style beard.
Aaron is also writing a Broadway musical that is being released in 2013/14 featuring Hugh Jackman. It looks like Sorkin has his work cut out.
