Last night the mother of all catfights went down on The Only Way Is Essex as Jessica Wright called out Cara Kilbey and Billi Mucklow for calling her desperate and slagging off her mum. However it was revealed at the end of the episode that the girl fight was actually down to a gossiping Arg who had been stirring things by telling Jessica the rumours he had heard.
The episode has caused much controversy, with Arg coming under fire for stirring up the drama by Gemma Collins, who thought that he should have kept the rumours to himself.
However Arg’s BFF Mark Wright, who is currently in LA filming his own ITV reality show Mark Wright’s Hollywood Nights, has jumped to his best friend’s defence, praising the newly-slim reality star for being loyal to his family.
Today Mark Wright tweeted: “4 all hating on @RealJamesArgent he heard people talking about hes family friends i.e mine & he told them. That's what any1 decent would do. (sic)"
Adding: “Tonight he proved he is 1 loyal person and y he's my best friend 4eva #TeamMarg.”
When questioned on his thoughts concerning the episode Mark revealed that he’s been too busy to catch the latest episode of TOWIE, writing: “I havnt seen it as away. I'm just speaking as iv heard he stuck up 4 my family who he's very close to. I don't know about the bit with gemma.”
So far Arg has remained schtum on last night’s events, but he has retweeted Mark’s tweets, plus a few from Mark’s sister Jessica and mum Carol, who defends the young lad for telling the truth and being a loyal friend to the family, as well as Ricky Rayment who found himself in the middle of things with Jessica and Cara.
Despite being in LA it’s nice to know Arg’s bestie still has his back!
