Ashleigh Butler and her dog Pudsey have won Britain's Got Talent 2012.
Simon Cowell made no secret of wanting a dancing dog to win the show this year, and now the media mogul has got what he wanted as Ashleigh and Pudsey beat thousands of acts to be crowned the winners of the show.
Ashleigh and her adorable dog beat show favourites Jonathan and Charlotte who came in second place and Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud who took third place, to win the title on tonight's show.
Complimenting Ashleigh and Pudsey, who performed to the Mission impossible theme tune in their performance earlier tonight, Amanda said: "It was unbelievable and sensational. Diamonds are not a friend for anyone, Pudsey is."
Simon added: "One of my favourite acts. I adore you both, you've got better and better. Congratulations to you both."
Reacting to the news that she will be performing in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety show, Ashleigh, who has also won £500,000, said:
"I just want to say thanks to everyone who has voted. I am so proud of Pudsey."
Ecstatic with the result, Simon said: "My life's work is complete", before turning to David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon and thanking them for their roles on the show this year.
Amanda added: "I am completely delighted."
Now that Ashleigh and Pudsey have won, Ashleigh's dream of taking Pudsey could turn into a reality after she told us yesterday: "
She said: "It is a massive dream of mine to get Pudsey into film work, I think he would be perfect for it, he loves the camera, and if Pudsey went to Hollywood, I would have to follow too."
Asked which actor she would trust and like to see work with Pudsey, Ashleigh replied:
"Robert Pattinson, I think Pudsey would be perfect with Robert Pattinson."
What did you think of tonight's result? Are you glad Ashleigh and Pudsey won?
