Britain's Got Talent may be soaring in the ratings, but one person who won't be tuning in to watch Pudsey the dog, The Loveable Rogues and Jonathan and Charlotte is former judge David Hasselhoff.

In fact Hasselhoff intimated to The Mirror's 3am that he didn't watch any television, saying: “I’m not watching it at all. I hate television.”

Rather strange for a man whose career was made on TV shows Knight Rider and Baywatch, but the man they call The Hoff has never been anything other than eccentric.

In the past he has claimed an important role in bringing down the Berlin Wall and reuniting Germany. The star, who has a huge fanbase in Germany, performed his song "Looking For Freedom" on it as it was knocked down.

Perhaps then he's still too busy to settle down in front of the telly for a night of dancing dogs, young singers and dance troupes.

On his own stint on the show he had attempted to be a fair and decent judge, saying: “I tried to be entertaining and let people down with compassion. That’s what I do.“

He also admitted to the paper that he was a little saddened by the reaction to his performance on the panel, saying: “The publicity that I got was, ‘David’s not doing well. No one can understand him’. But I thought I was OK!"

All we can say is that busy or not David, you're missing out!

What The Hoff is missing out on: Photos from BGT's Semi-Finals.

This Semi-Final lark is evidently a lot more relaxing for the judges than the contestants.
