Daniel Craig has shown off his latest 'Bond Babes' in Turkey, while it has been revealed that the legendary spy will receive a knighthood.
After 50 years and thousands of lucky ladies under his belt the MI6 agent with a license to kill has been given the seal of approval from the Queen and was knighted at Buckingham Palace last month according to The Evening Standard.
“Daniel Craig was here in black tie one morning in early April,” a source told the paper.
“Judi Dench [who plays M, the head of MI6] was also here, and the talk of the Palace was that Bond was going to be knighted that morning.”
While speculation mounts that the scenes may be part of the Olympic opening ceremony filming for the next instalment of the Bond franchise, ‘Skyfall’ has continued in Turkey.
Director Sam Mendes promised a “conflicted Bond” this time round and speaking at a news conference in Istanbul earlier this week said they would be exploring the spy’s more intense side.
“Some people sometimes forget in the cliché of Bond, which is the international playboy, and someone who’s always untroubled, and almost never breaks a sweat, that actually what (Fleming) created was a very conflicted character,” He said according to ITN.
According to Mendes the spy struggles with depression, boredom and, “difficulty with what he’s chosen to do for a living, which is to kill.”
“That makes him a much more interesting character, and some of those things are explored in this movie, because Daniel as an actor is capable of exploring them.” He added.
But don’t fear, Bond hasn’t suddenly lost his charm, Daniel Craig who has his third outing as the super sleuth confirmed he is still the same old Bond - gadgets, girls and exotic locations.
The latest shots from set show stunts with a hovercraft and when the actor was asked to describe his characters “love life” in the movie, he said:
“It’s very rich.” “We’re making a Bond movie, so that kind of speaks for itself.”
The British hunk certainly looked happy with his female co-stars Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe as they posed for photos with a lady on each arm - we wouldn't expect anything else from Bond!
