One Direction star Zayn Malik has become a global heart-throb thanks to the boy’s success, but it seems in private the 19 year-old is struggling with their new found fame.
According to Now Magazine the intense attention from fans on their recent tour of Australia, New Zealand and the US has all got too much for the Bradford born lad. Fans reportedly ruined a night out in Syndey for the quietest member of the band where he even had to be escorted to the toilet to protect him from eager Directioners.
“It was ridiculous. Zayn kept saying it was all too much and he was just trying to have a fun night out.” An eyewitness told the magazine.
“The crowd were bombarding the two lads and throwing themselves at them. It was so bad that one of the group’s bouncers had to ask for an area near the bar to be cordoned off.”
While Harry Styles basked in the attention it seemed Zayn found it a little over-whelming.
“He was the quieter of the two,” the eyewitness, who spent the evening with the boys revealed. “When a wet T-shirt contest began, Zayn was just quietly looking and smiling, but Harry went crazy and kept geeing up the crowd. He kept wanting to leave but the bouncers had to block him with their arms for safety.”
Perhaps Zayn was pinning for rumoured girlfriend Perrie Edwards from Little Mix?
The singer wasted no time in meeting up with the pretty blonde when the boys jetted back into the country earlier this week and enjoyed a date to the cinema days after their return.
