This season of Dancing With The Stars has provided plenty of drama and controversy, but it seems show bosses might be cranking up the show to an even higher level, as rumours are circulating that an all star season of the hit ballroom dancing show could be in the offing.
Former DWTS contestant and Extra TV host Mario Lopez was the latest to be a little loose lipped when he hinted at the possibility whilst guest-hosting Live! With Kelly on the morning of April 25.
He and Kelly Ripa were chatting about the previous night's Dancing With the Stars results, with Lopez perplexed by the judges decision to let 'Midnight Train To Georgia' singer Gladys Knight go. He said: "I thought she was doing amazing."
Lopez then let the cat out of the bag and on to the dancefloor, saying: "You know what Kelly? They're doing a Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars this next season. They called me to do it."
ABC hasn't made any announcements as yet, but DWTS co-host Brooke Burke Charvet recently told Rachael Ray that she wanted to take part in an all-star edition of the reality show. Burke Charvet said: "I haven't danced ballroom since I left . . . I would love to [return]."
She added: "And being on the show, it just makes me want to dance again." When even the host is floating the idea of taking part in the new format, we know it must be a real possibility.
With Lopez too confirming that producers are ringing round former contestants looking for participants, it could be time to start thinking about which stars you'd like to see back on the dancefloor.
