Scarlett Johansson hopes that there is an Avengers Assemble sequel so that she can get together with her co-stars again.
The latest comments made by Hollywood starlet Scarlett Johansson about the upcoming Marvel film are sure to please comic book fans, as she reveals that she would love to be involved in a sequel.
She confided in Access Hollywood, stating: "We hope that we are able to bring these characters back — all of our characters work interchangeably in each other's movies, but nothing's on the table yet."
The hugely anticipated Avengers film, released in the UK on the April 26, is directed by Joss Whedon and features a host of popular Marvel characters including Captain America, The Hulk and Iron Man.
The movie sees a crack team of famous superheroes come together to overcome an unexpected enemy threatening to destroy global security.
As critics continue to give the movie outstanding reviews, enquiries about a sequel have begun to gather weight – and now starlet Scarlett Johansson appears eager to be involved.
While she revealed that the stars haven't yet committed to a second film, the 27-year-old, who plays the gorgeous international spy Black Widow, did suggest that all of the cast are willing to return.
In addition, her co-star Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye, was not entirely dissmissive when asked about a possible spin-off film featuring his character: "I don't know. I think there's always a future for everything in the Marvel world — they like to keep their options open.
"It'll be up to fans, I suppose, and Marvel."
