Since hitting the big time Adele has been a beacon of shining light for curvy women, insisting that she would never change, but now the star has reportedly shed over a stone after becoming a vegetarian.
The 'Someone Like You' singer admitted while talking to Radio 1 that she was trying to lead a more healthy lifestyle, as she said: "I'm trying to be veggie. For what I want to do next year I have to be really healthy and stuff like that."
Adele and her boyfriend Simon Konecki are said to have undergone a new healthy regime that has seen both lose lots of weight, and the 23-year-old running regularly with her dog.
But Adele admits that she's struggling with vegetarian staples like tofu but that she's trying to get all the vitamins and minerals that she needs.
"I can find another way of getting all the stuff out of meat you need. I hate that tofu stuff though. It's rank. Whenever I'm about to eat meat I always see my little dog's eyes."
Last year Adele underwent surgery for a haemorrhage on her vocal chords that also saw her cancel her US tour. Now, she's opting for healthier habits and has even quit smoking.
One of Adele's friends has reportedly told the Daily Record: “The weight is dropping off them and they plan to keep dieting until the end of April.”
In the past, the British singer has said that she would never like to become a skinny star. "
“I’ve never seen magazine covers and music videos and thought, ‘I need to look like that’," she's said. “Even if I did have a Sports Illustrated body, I’d still wear elegant clothes. “I ain’t looking like no slapper. Exploiting yourself sexually is really not a good look.”
