American Idol's Ryan Seacrest Will Not Host X Factor USA

Simon Cowell reveals

American Idol bosses can breathe a sigh of relief because Simon Cowell will not be pinching American Idol host Ryan Seacrest for the X Factor USA.

Following the reports that Ryan was in line to replace Steve Jones as host of the X Factor USA, Simon has confirmed that he has no plans to poach Ryan from the rival show.

Talking to us last night, the media mogul said:

"I think Ryan is brilliant at what he does and I think he's a brilliant negotiator and I admire him for that, you know, I think he'll stay on Idol.

With Ryan out of the picture, Simon went on to hint that the presenters will more than likely be American.

He added: "It's time for a change, we've been doing these shows for the past eleven years. You can't just keep doing the same thing and I think we learnt a lesson last year that the traditional host role like this has to change into something else, and therefore the show will look different and it will feel different and I do think it is important that we have more Americans on the show."

The media mogul also confirmed that two presenters will front the X Factor USA this year.

The most successful American Idol contestants far!

Kelly Clarkson was the first winner of American Idol and the 'Miss Independent' singer has sold an impressive 10.6 million albums. She's undoubtedly been the most successful singer to have been discovered on the show.
