Kim Kardashian's ex-publicist Jonathan Jaxon has issued an apology to Kim Kardashian for calling her marriage to Kris Humphries "a sham" and the parties have settled out of court.
Jaxon, who turned to Kris Humphries' lawyer for help earlier this month after claiming that the Kardashian saga had left him feeling suicidal, has written on his blog to apologise to the reality star.
Shortly after Kim and Kris split, Jaxon had claimed that their 72-day marriage was a publicity stunt and that she already owned the $2 million diamond ring that the basketball star had proposed with.
"I wanted to apologise publicly to Kim Kardashian for any confusion that I may have caused by the personal statements I made recently regarding Kim Kardashian," he wrote.
Jaxon has now settled out of court with the 31-year-old and she's very "pleased". "I would like to further clarify that I did not have any first hand knowledge of Kim's relationship with Kris," he added.
"Any statement I made regarding Kim and her marriage was my opinion only and was not intended to imply first hand knowledge of Kim's thoughts and feelings."
Meanwhile Kim has issued a statement to E! News through her lawyer Todd Wilson which read: "[Kim is] very happy to announce that she has reached a settlement of her claims against Jonathan Jaxson.
"As part of the confidential settlement, Mr Jaxson has issued a public apology to Kim. Kim is extremely pleased with the outcome of the matter."
