James Arg Argent has come to blows with new Essex hunk Ricky Rayment over ex-girlfriend Lydia Bright on The Only Way Is Essex.
The 24 year-old split from his girlfriend a few weeks ago and has since been growing angry over the blossoming friendship between Lydia and new boy Ricky. Despite making it clear the two are only friends Arg took the opportunity to find out exactly what Ricky’s intentions were to his glamorous ex.
While Ricky was on a date with co-star Cara Kilby the pub singer approached the pair and asked for a “quiet word” with the latest Essex lothario. Arg said to Ricky: “I’ve got no right to say anything but you’re flirting with Lydia non-stop.”
“All I need to know how your either potentially going to crack on to Lydia or make snide comments behind my back.” He added.
Lydia And James 'Arg' Argent Have Heart To Heart Over Break-up
The TV star claimed that co-stars Joey Essex and James ‘Diags’ Bennewith had told him that Ricky thought Lydia was "too fresh" and planning to “crack onto her" after she had got over the break-up.
The self-confessed ladies’ man was furious when he heard the accusations and protested that as a family friend he had no interest with Lydia.
He told James: “Yes I’m a flirt. Yes if I hadn’t known her for eight years then I probably would”
But the 21 year-old made it clear that he was on a date with gorgeous brunette Cara.
Although Arg felt better after he was sure Ricky was not interested in his ex, the same could not be said for the fuming Essex boy.
When Cara returned to the table to continue her date Ricky was reeling from his argument with Arg.
He told the beautician: “I’m fucking fuming with everyone right now, it’s just bull-sh*t.”
Though Arg is confident Ricky won't be making a move on his ex-girlfriend, Lydia has already started thinking about moving on and has set her eye on someone outside of Essex.
She revealed to mother Debbie that she wanted to get a more sophisticated boyfriend who liked going to museums.
