Simon Cowell is busy tinkering with the format of The X Factor USA after the show failed to set the ratings alight, and his newest scheme is to return to his original idea of having two hosts present the show.
In the earliest stages of launching The X Factor USA, Simon initially planned for Steve Jones to co-host with Nicole Scherzinger, but after he axed Cheryl Cole from the judging panel, he moved singer Nicole into Cheryl’s spot, leaving Steve to fly solo.
Insiders have told TV Guide that there is no word yet on what two presenters Simon is interested in, but it is more than likely that they will be American, after Simon recently admitted to having too many unknown British faces on the show last year.

Meanwhile it is still unknown who will be joining the judging panel of The X Factor UK and The X Factor USA, with everyone from Estelle to Mariah Carey to Beyonce being tipped to sign up.
We just hope Simon announces it soon as all the speculation is getting a bit much now!
