Sam Mendes has released a videoblog from the set of James Bond movie 'Skyfall'.
The spy caper is due in cinemas in October, and is the 23rd film in the long-running franchise.
In his update, Mendes compares star Daniel Craig to original Bond Sean Connery, praising his portrayal of the iconic character as "a real man in a real situation".

He adds: "The roots of my doing this Bond movie start way before anybody approached me because, like everyone else, I have my own personal relationship with Bond which began when I was I suppose about nine or 10 years old. I’ve always been a fan of the movies."
He also revealed that this is the first time he has shot a film in the UK. "I feel like the American years were my apprenticeship for doing a Bond movie," he confessed.
Mendes won an Oscar for his satirical drama 'American Beauty'.
