ITV have apologised for interrupting Adele's acceptance speech at the Brit Awards last night.
The star, who went on stage to collect the award for the Best British Album, had her speech cut short by presenter James Corden, who was told to stop the star because they were "over running".
Annoyed that James stopped her from speaking, fans then saw the singer stick her middle finger up to the cameras before walking abruptly off stage.
Apologising for their decision to cut Adele off mid-sentence, The Brit Awards released an official statement on Twitter, saying:
"Evening all…We would like to say a few words about Adele's British Album acceptance speech tonight. We regret this happened and we send deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short tonight due to the live show over-running...

"We don't want this to undermine her incredible achievement in winning her incredible award... it tops off what's been an incredible year for her."
ITV added in their statement: "The Brits is a live event, sadly the programme was over-running and we had to move on. We would like to apologise to Adele for the interruption."
Upset that he had to be responsible for cutting off Adele, MTV News reports James Corden saying: "I just feel bad about having to cut Adele off. I really don't understand quite why I was made to, but it's not a very nice way to end.
"I was having the best night of my life but then I had to cut Adele off before she had a chance to say thank you - she's the biggest star in the world."
Blaming the "suits" for cutting her off, Adele said backstage: "That was for the suits at the Brit Awards, not my fans. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me."
