After taking a break following the birth of her new son, Minnie Driver is back to work appearing in new in musical movie Hunky Dory, and she has confessed that she is currently coveting another role – on popular musical comedy Glee!
The Good Will Hunting actress told The Observer: “Oh, I've been trying to get on that show since, well... God knows. I know, I'm not scared to say it!”
In the interview Minnie joked that she’s jealous fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently won an Emmy for her guest spot on Glee as substitute teacher Holly Holliday, as she “stole [her] thunder!”
Realising her potentially provocative words, Minnie quickly added: “Oh s**t, that's the bloody headline, isn't it? But no, seriously, I wish it had been me.”

Minnie recently signed a deal with Amercian TV network ABC and revealed during the interview that she would love a return to the small screen:
"I still want an Oscar, and to work with Danny Boyle and Martin Scorsese - of course I want all of that. But what I really, really want to do is another US TV series. I do."
The actress explains her motivation behind wanting to sign up to a TV series: “I want that life. I want a regular pay cheque. And I want to be able to know when I can pick up [my son] Henry from school."
As well as Gwyneth Paltrow, this season saw Ricky Martin, Matt Bomer and Jeff Goldbum guest star on Glee.
