Katy Perry’s next album is set to be an angry break-up record directed at her ex-husband Russell Brand.
The singer split from the comedian just after Christmas and is said to be pouring all her hate and rage into her new material.
A source told Grazia: “'Katy goes from being angry one minute to upset the next. And she really is laying everything out there in her music, which she says has been extremely therapeutic.”
The 27 year-old, whose marriage only lasted 14 months, gave a taster of her anger at last week’s Grammy Award performance where she changed some of the lyrics to her song E.T. to reflect what she was feeling.
According to The Metro she sung: “'You can keep the diamond ring. It don't mean nothing anyway."
“You chewed me up and spit me out / Like I was poison in your mouth" and "You ripped me off, your love was cheap / Was always tearing at the seams," the 'Firework' star added.

The performance was clearly aimed at her British ex and the ’I Kissed A Girl’ singer is ready to bear her soul for her new record to let Russell know just how much he hurt her.
The source revealed: “Katy's performance was intended to stick two fingers up at Russell. Her best friend Rihanna fully encouraged it, too.”
The insider said that while Katy appears to have moved on she has not met anyone new and is furious that her Russell has. The long-haired lothario is reportedly romancing a Mexican painter he met at his yoga class in Los Angeles.
“With all these rumours about new women, she's mad as hell? Katy is furious with Russell for not trying to save their marriage. He broke her heart and it's only natural if she wants him to suffer pain like she has.'“ The source added.
