JLS singer Aston Merrygold has hit out defending his friend Olly Murs and his lack of Brit award nominations.
The boy band member and Olly are both up for British Single but Aston is confused as to why his friend wasn’t nominated for British Male Solo Artist. He told The Daily Star: "It doesn't make sense. He's had two double platinum albums and number one [singles].
"But he'll perform on the night, show what he can do and do himself justice."

With the Brit Awards only a matter of hours away, Olly doesn’t seem too bitter. He tweeted earlier: “Love the good luck tweets today!! buzzing on performing at Brits 2012!! Will be a right laugh once again performing with @RizzleKicks.”
Whilst Olly appears excited for tonight’s show, Aston tweeted his nerves. He said: “Morning.. So today's the day!! N yep.. Your right.. I haven't slept! Ax
