Whitney Houston’s family have stripped the hotel room that the star died in to avoid any memorabilia being sold on to fans.

The 48 year-old singer was found dead in the bath-tub of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton on the 11th February.

According to TMZ everything from the now infamous hotel room has been removed including bed sheets, towels and even trash.

A source told TMZ: “The family is concerned about people trying to make a desperate buck off Whitney's death, raiding the singer's hotel room and trying to sell relics of her passing.”

The items were supposedly disposed of in secret. The cause of the singer's death is still unknown, though drugs and alcohol were found in the room when a security guard discovered her lifeless body.

While the family come to terms with the multi-award winning star's death, they are being urged to end their long running feud with her ex-husband Bobby Brown.
