Everyone has their own way of dealing with grief and it appears performing on stage is Bobby Brown’s.

The singer got on stage with his band New Edition, in Newark, New Jersey, just hours after his ex-wife was laid to rest. Furthermore to his controversy, Bobby caused a stir at the beginning of the superstar’s service by leaving due to a seating dispute.

However, the R'n'B star has confessed that he’s been having a terrible time. Speaking to the 7,000 strong crowd, Bobby said: “The past few weeks have been terrible, but I was able to come back out with my brothers because that's where my strength is.”

Earlier, Bobby stormed out of Whitney’s funeral following a reported dispute over seating arrangements and not being allowed to be with his daughter Bobbi Kristina.

According to him, he left the service after kissing the casket of his ex-wife because 'he refused to make a scene.' But it was business as usual for the singer as he took to the stage later that night. He told his fans: “I want to give blessings to my ex-wife, Whitney Houston, I love you. I want to give blessings to my kids, my fiancée (Alicia Etheridge), my brothers, and each of you.”
