David Gest has revealed that Whitney Houston's ex-husband brought too many people to her funeral so its no surprise that he left.

The music promoter, who was a big pal of the late 'I Will Always Love You' singer, was at the New Jersey funeral this weekend, and saw the incident which caused Bobby Brown to leave the ceremony after just 20 minutes.

Brown blamed the security over his decision to leave after he was moved three times by the security and he was also denied access to his daughter Bobbi Kristina.

According to reports this weekend, Bobby was given three invites to the ceremony that was held on Saturday (February 18), but he turned up with nine people after being asked to move for the third time - the New Edition star decided to leave the church.

David Gest, who infamously wore a Whitney Houston trench coat in 2009, told BBC Breakfast: "I saw the whole thing. He came in but he was with more people. It was a limited funeral, only 300 people, it was a small church. No one could even get past the (security) guards... When you (arrived) you showed your pass and you were let into the church."

He also added: "He (Brown) brought about eight or nine other guests. They sat him down, then they moved him, and moved him again and you could see by the third time he was becoming really irate."
