For anyone who's been following the news, it's become clear that Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's family have not seen eye-to-eye since the star passed away last Saturday...
Whitney's ex-husband is in the headlines today for walking out of Whitney's funeral before the service even began, all because of an altercation over the seating arrangements. According to Brown, he grew upset when he was prevented from talking to his daughter and was asked to move on several occasions.
He explained his reasons for leaving early in a statement to the press:
"In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how."
Bobby has been battling with Whitney Houston's family over seeing his daughter ever since Whitney passed away last week but, if TMZ's sources are to be believed, he does not want to drag lawyers into the debate:
"Bobby really wants to be there for Bobbi Kristina, but does not want to make the situation more stressful for her than it already is."
Perhaps, after Whitney is laid to rest today, this situation will finally be resolved. Fingers crossed the families can lay aside their differences and do what's best for Bobbi Kristina.
