Katie Price struggled to complete the Brighton Half Marathon after her knees gave way... is that anything to do with her overdosing on junk food the night before?
While most runners opt for stretches, carbohydrates and plenty of rest, Katie price opted for her own unique way of prepping for the half marathon; junk food and lots of it!
Yesterday the glamour model tweeted a pic of herself with an extraordinarily swollen stomach:
"Omg @leandro__penna and @abbi1985 and myself have pigged out on junk food tonight hahahaha lol."
A hahahaha AND a lol? Something about this must be even more hilarious than we average joes can understand; maybe that stomach isn't due to just junk food...?
Unsurprisingly, Katie struggled to finish the race today, although she did still manage a decent time of two hours and thirty-four minutes. She was spotted crying out in pain as she ran the last stretch, taking to Twitter to explain that this was due to her knees giving way:
"I finished Brighton half marathon 2hrs34mins sooo gutted both my knees went so I struggled but thinking of Vision Charity got me through xx"
Which raises a good point; despite the lurid pink tracksuit and the opportunity to get herself in the tabloids, it's worth bearing in mind that Katie did do this run for a very good reason. She raised money for The Vision, a charity which supports blind, visually-ompaired and dyslexic children.
Well done Katie! Go home and celebrate with a pizza or something...
If that belly is due to (whisper it) a baby bump, at least we have a back-up Katie Price ready to take over...
