Katherine Jenkins and Gethin Jones ended their relationship at the start of the year, calling off their engagement. Katherine has since been on tour, where she broke down in tears at her first show in January. The singer has now admitted she’s still very emotional about the split.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “I sing from my heart so it’s been difficult to sing love songs. Those songs were written before everything happened. I got really emotional at the end because I know the journey I’ve been on.
“Break It To My Heart was recorded pre-everything. It’s still a song that people ask me to perform, so I can’t ignore it.
“When I first started this tour I was a bit of a mess. I didn’t know how I was going to get through it. I looked at my list of songs and they’re all about love and heartbreak... But that’s my problem.”
