Despite releasing statements on the emotional state of his 18 year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina, Bobby Brown has not actually see his daughter since the death of her mother Whitney Houston last Saturday.
The teenager broke down upon learning that her mother had been found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and was hospitalised twice due to her grief in the 24 hours following the star’s death.
According to The Insider the teenager had refused to see her father since he arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.
The 43 year-old was in Mississippi performing with his group ‘New Editions’ when he learnt of his ex-wife’s death and decided to go through with that night’s planned performance rather than return to comfort his daughter straight away.
The rapper has already returned to the road and took to the stage in Maryland, where he told the crowd that it was time to “move on”.
Bobby is expected to first see his daughter at the 48 year-old’s burial tomorrow in Newark, New Jersey. The service will be a ‘home coming’ rather than a traditional funeral and will see Aretha Franklin perform a tribute to the late star.
Multi-award winner Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room on Saturday afternoon. Emergency services tried to revive the star but attempts failed and she was pronounced dead at 3:55pm.
Though no cause of death has been officially announced, the star had been battling a long running addiction to drugs.
