Bobby Brown: 'You Have To Move On Sometimes'

Bobby Brown has has told fans in Maryland that it was time to “move on” after the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston.

The 43 year-old rapper, who cancelled shows to be with his daughter with the singer, Bobbi Kristina made another fitting tribute to his wife of 15 years as he performed with his group ‘New Edition’.

According to TMZ he said: "Life is life ... you have to move on sometimes."

"I love [Whitney] like I love God.” He added.

The news comes as the other man in Whitney’s life has finally spoken out. Ray J said that he had lost a “close friend” and “what my heart feels cannot be expressed.”

The multi-award winning star was found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles last Saturday. She will be buried this weekend in Newark, New Jersey.

According to TMZ it will be a "home coming" rather than a traditional funeral.

A statement released by the family stated: "With heartfelt gratitude, the Houston Family requests the honor of your presence at the home going service for Whitney Elizabeth Houston."

Aretha Franklin is expected to perform at the service which will be televised.
